Chapel Hill, NC – 29 May, 2019 Whitsell Innovations, Inc Founder and President Nominated for Diversity Alliance for Science’s 2019 Linda Secola Volunteer of the Year Award
Robin Whitsell, Founder and President of Whitsell Innovations (WI), Inc has been nominated for the Volunteer of the Year award by Diversity Alliance for Science (DA4S). Ms. Whitsell is joined by Michael Baldini, of Atrium, and Beth Crouse, of 2nd Spark, as nominees for this award.
The Volunteer of the Year award is named in honor of Linda Secola who was a member and volunteer with DA4S. The award recognizes those who have made significant differences in the enrichment of the services and events that DA4S provides to its members.
“I was lucky enough to have known Linda. She was a tireless volunteer and an exceptional person. I am so honored to be nominated for the award bearing her name” says Ms. Whitsell. “I feel fortunate to serve alongside the amazing volunteers driving the DA4S mission of creating opportunities for diverse suppliers.”
Ms. Whitsell has been an active member of DA4S since 2011. Exemplifying her volunteerism, Ms. Whitsell is an immediate past Board Member, co-chair of the Mentoring Committee, and a member of the Sponsorship Committee.
The recipient will be announced on June 5, 2019.
The mission of DA4S is to provide a platform to identify, attract, and develop small and diverse businesses to drive inclusive procurement practices in corporate, academic, and governmental entities within the life science and healthcare industries.
