Medical Writing Manager
Karen Campbell, MS, joined Whitsell Innovations (WI) in 2013 as a Senior Medical Writer. In 2016, she joined the WI Leadership Team. With a 25-year pharmaceutical-related career, Ms. Campbell’s expertise consists of a cross-functional understanding of trial data. She has served as project manager on numerous medical writing projects.
Prior to joining WI, Ms. Campbell was Head of Global Narrative Writing at UCB Pharma. Ms. Campbell has written and/or reviewed over 10,000 clinical subject narratives and has provided training on this topic on several occasions. In addition to narrative writing, she has written numerous clinical study reports, briefing books, Investigator Brochures, protocols, and amendments. Additionally, Ms. Campbell serves as a mentor at WI. Her therapeutic areas of experience include Alzheimer’s disease, autoimmune diseases, cardiology, chronic pancreatitis, central nervous system, Crohn’s disease, endometriosis, epilepsy, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, gastrointestinal disorders, glioblastoma, hepatitis C virus, infectious disease (antifungal and antiviral), influenza, nasal products, oncology, ophthalmic products, osteoporosis, schizophrenia, seasonal allergic rhinitis, and uterine fibroids.
Ms. Campbell has a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Psychology from Augusta University and is a member of the American Medical Writers Association (AMWA). She is active in community volunteer opportunities, including participation in the annual “WI Day of Service.”
