Chapel Hill, NC – January 31, 2019 – Whitsell Innovations, Inc. employees will participate in a Service Day through A Lotta Love at Community House of Chapel Hill, NC.
Whitsell Innovations, Inc. (WI) is pleased to announce the Company will participate in a half-day of service through A Lotta Love at Community House on January 31, 2019. Founded and run by Lotta Sjölin, A Lotta Love’s vision is to create a dignified experience for men, women and children transitioning through homelessness back into society, by updating and maintaining spaces that house people. Community House is a shelter in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, providing men housing during the temporary crisis of homelessness.
WI employees planned, purchased supplies, and gained approval for this ½ day service intervention. Nearly 50 WI employees will come together and roll up their sleeves to decorate, design, and paint, transforming several spaces at Community House. Painting will be completed in several areas of the second floor, including the library, dining and family room, and hallways to create a bright, cheery, and inviting space. WI will also will also assemble carts so that items can be more easily stored within the dining area. In addition to the employee time, WI donated the funds needed to pay for these projects.
Robin Whitsell, BA, BPh, led the planning of the service project and ensured that it would be both fun and meaningful. “We are so excited to continue our partnership with A Lotta Love,” says Robin Whitsell, WI Founder and President. “I would also like to thank Sherwin Williams on Franklin Street in Chapel Hill for donating a portion of the cost of the paint and Lowe’s Home Improvement on Fordham Boulevard in Chapel Hill for providing discounts on all the materials.”
